What is a BLOG?

A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide news or commentary on a particular subject. Here at North Shore Community College we are making use of this new “Web 2.0″ technology to enhance participation in many areas of the college by providing a forum that is more accessible for participants to take an active part in planning, governance, and many other areas of interest.

BLOGs at North Shore Community College are also available through email and RSS (real simple syndication) readers.
